Aspects of Perth Modernism 1929 - 1942 - David Broomfield assisted by Melissa Harpley and Pippa Tandy (eds.). Published by the Centre for Fine Arts U.W.A., Paperback (large format) 1986. Illustrated in colour and black and white. This catalogue was produced in connection with a 1986 touring art exhibition of the same name, from the University of Western Australia in Perth, to Sydney New South Wales, then back to Western Australia to Geraldton. The catalogue is composed of five essays and notes on the five artists concerned. A very specific area of modernism, it would be interesting to compare Perth modernism in that period to other modernisms around the world. Condition: Very good. The pages are clean and tightly bound, and there is not much sign of the book having been read or consulted.
