The Hawx Prime 130 shines as a high-performance boot with impressive comfort. The Prolite Construction lightens the boot and improves the fit and sensitivity without losing any of the power of previous versions. True Flex PU results in a shell and cuff that are less affected by temperature changes and produce a more consistent flex. The Memory Fit shell, aided by the Energy Backbone, delivers precise energy transmission and can be moulded in-store to the skier s feet for the best possible shape. The pre-formed 3D Mimic Platinum liner is customisable too and the inclusion of Thinsulate material makes it nice and warm. The personalisation goes further. Power Shift alters the forward lean on the cuff and the amount of flex, both can be adjusted to each individual and it s so simple to do, it can be altered anytime. Ability Level Boots14 Overview Fit Medium fit around the heel and ankle, medium to high instep, medium to wide across the forefoot. Shell True Flex PU Memory Fit shell with PU Memory Fit cuff, mouldable. The advanced heat fitting technology of Memory Fit creates a fully personalised shell and cuff in minutes. The key is Memolink, a special additive that improves the mouldability and stretch characteristics of the plastic. The boot shell is heated in an oven, then the skier's foot is placed inside the complete boot whilst it cools. With the foot's natural standing pressure, the forefoot of the boot can expand up to 3mm per side and the ankle area up to 5mm per side. True Flex is an exclusive Atomic shell material that means your flex and feel remains constant in a variety of temperatures. So, the boot you buy in store feels the same on the mountain, you don't lose horsepower in the spring and you don't have a boot that you can't flex in mid-winter. Liner 3D Mimic Platinum 3M Thinsulate, mouldable. Atomic s unique Mimic liners use a layer of supportive thermoformable material in the heel, ankle and tongue areas. After being softened in an oven, this material mimics the precise shape of your foot, and hardens in that shape for a perfect custom fit. 3D means pre-shaped heel and ankles areas for better foot hold and comfort. 3D Stretch Toe Box makes sure the toes have a bit more space in the liner when needed. Thinsulate is the world s best-known insulation and its use keeps feet warmer. Key Features Prolite Prolite is a way of building skis and boots that turns traditional thinking on its head. Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then it builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed. Power Shift Power Shift allows the forward lean to be adjusted to 13o, 15o or 17o simply by moving the power control up and down. You can also alter the flex index by +/- 10 flex points by adding or removing a screw. Creates a completely personalised set-up. Energy Backbone The Energy Backbone is a reinforced, asymmetric backbone that provides extra strength for powerful skiing plus enhanced lateral energy transmission for better edge grip. Thinsulate The more air a material traps in a given space the greater its insulating value. The microfibres in 3M Thinsulate insulation are far finer than any other fibres, which means they trap more insulating air in less space, even when wet. This keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions. Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.

After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.

Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
