The Hawx Prime XTD 110 CT GW blends all-mountain comfort and freeride touring performance. Using Atomic's Prolite construction means that this boot is built for skiing power and touring functionality. Features like the Free/Lock 4.0 ski-to-walk mechanism, Frictionless Pivot, and Complete Tech inserts in both the toe and the heel allow for maximum comfort when ascending. The 3D Gold liner offers out of the box comfort with custom-moulding capacities, as well as an Achilles Flex Zone for greater range of motion. At 110 flex this boot is perfect for good skiers with medium volume feet looking to get into touring, but wanting control and performance when skiing downhill too. Ability Level Tour5 Overview Fit An average fit on the rearfoot with generous forefoot width and a medium to high instep. Shell Prolite PU Memory Fit shell with PU Memory Fit cuff, mouldable. The advanced heat fitting technology of Memory Fit creates a fully personalised shell and cuff in minutes. The key is Memolink, a special additive that improves the mouldability and stretch characteristics of the plastic. The boot shell is heated in an oven, then the skier's foot is placed inside the complete boot whilst it cools. With the foot's natural standing pressure, the forefoot of the boot can expand up to 3mm per side and the ankle area up to 5mm per side. Liner 3D Gold with Touring Flex Zone, mouldable. Thermoformable material is used in the heel, ankle, and midfoot areas with added articulation at the rear of the liner for hike mode. The liner is heated in an oven and is cooled to form to the shape of the skier's feet. 3D means pre-shaped heel and ankles areas for better foot hold and comfort. In the ski setting you can choose 13o/150/17o via the adjustable forward lean. Frictionless PivotIgus polymer bushings provide a completely natural movement for effortless ascents. Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.
After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.
Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
