These Asian type varieties are becomingly increasingly popular amongst both chefs and home growers.The long, slender fruits are easy to prepare and perfect for both Mediterranean and Asian dishes. This versatile vegetable can be sauteed, grilled, baked or fried and readily soaks up flavours, providing a tasty and satisfying substitute for meat in vegetarian and vegan dishes. Early to mature and high-yielding, 'Knight' aubergines form compact, disease-resistant and well-branching plants that are perfect for container-growing in the greenhouse. Harvest the fruits from August to October, whilst they are still shiny and tender.Height: 1-2m (40-80in).
