Designed to cool the engine oil by using air flow through the cooling fins these oil coolers are suitable for fast road or competition cars whose engines are subjected to higher RPM and increased power levels. When oil exceeds its working temperature it can become too thin to protect effectively. For this reason an oil cooler is an important addition to protect your engine, transmission or differential.Ideal for high performance or competition engines, transmissions and differentials which experience higher oil temperaturesLightweight aluminium pressed plate design with black powder coat finish for corrosion resistanceKit includes aluminium male adapters in the selected size (unless 'without fittings' is selected from the options).Helps to protect engines from failure due to oil becoming too thin at high temperaturesUniversal fitting, available with a range of different threaded fittings to suit various applicationsAll coolers are pressure tested to 160 psi so you can be confident of leak free and reliable operationThe APS (Automotive Plumbing Solutions) range of oil coolers are available in various sizes to offer different levels of cooling (the bigger the cooler the better the cooling). Two different widths are available 170mm and 240mm (this dimension refers to the matrix width, not overall width). The height of the cooler is measured in rows (this is the number of oilways including the top and bottom plate, more rows equates to more cooling).The coolers are supplied complete with aluminium male adapters unless the option of 'Without fittings' is selected in which case just the cooler with -10 JIC female ports will be supplied. We recommend mounting the coolers using rubber mounting bobbins which provide an ideal mounting solution as they isolate the cooler from vibration reducing the risk of failure through fatigue.
