A bright and fruit-forward Reposado Tequila drawn from the Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco. Just outside the town of Jesus Maria in the Highlands of Jalisco, the Lopez family grows agave plants for making Tequila. Ken Austin found them there, and partnered with them to make a new Tequila together -- creating Avion Tequila. The Highlands have the best volcanic soils and perfect combination of micro climates to produce the best Tequilas in the world. In fact, their signature Tequila was awarded "World's Best Tasting Tequila" and "World's Best White Spirit" in 2012 against 1400 other Spirit brands at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. They currently produce Silver, Reposado, Anejo, and an Extra Anejo Tequila "Reserva 44." Avion Tequila Reposado begins with the pure agave Spirit that is their exceptional Tequila Silver. That means 100% Weber Blue agave growing at 7,000 feet in elevation. It's slow roasted and distilled in small batches. The Spirit undergoes their famous slow filtration process before aging. For this Reposado, that means a minimum of six months in ex-Bourbon casks -- that's six months longer than required. Each bottle is hand-filled at 40% ABV and hand-labeled with all of the details.
