What is Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) and how does Balance active help? Bacterial vaginosis is an infection that affects your vagina, causing an unpleasant, fishy-smelling discharge. This happens when the natural balance of the bacteria in your vagina is disturbed. This dual action vaginal gel contains lactic acid, which immediately neutralises the embarrassing odor by restoring the normal pH of the vagina. It also contains glycogen, which provides nutrients for lactobacilli (friendly bacteria).
