A collectable MONO L.P. from the Early-Fifties, as released on the esteemed, New York City-based label, "Lyrichord". This is the lovely piano work, " Annees de Pelerinage, 'Italie' " - composed by the Hungarian genius that was Franz "Ferenc" Liszt (1811-86) -, in its entire-ity! The soloist on this recording, is Erno Balogh (1897-1989). Like Liszt he was born in Hungary (and indeed, studied alongside Bela Bartok himself), but later became a naturalized U.S. citizen. Side One :- 1) Sposalizio 2) Il Penseroso. 3) Canzonetta del Salvator Rosa. 4) Sonetta del Petrarca 47. 5) Sonetta del Petrarca 104. Side Two :- 1) Sonetta del Petrarca 123. 2) Apres une Lecture du Dante (Fantasia Quasi Sonata). (mono still on the Front-Sleeve, by "naar" - apologies for light-interference in my photo) Reverse-Sleeve (sample Photo Four) contains : Tracklisting ; Informative essay, sadly by anon. ; Brief bio. of Balogh, also by anon. (essay & bio, both printed in English language). Matrix-Runout codes :- "LL14 A ARC" / "LL14 B ARC". (The "ARC" word on both sides, is handwritten. The sections before these, are typed) Records graded visually to RRPG grades (side1/side2/sleeve) VG/VG+/VG+.
