With a blue sapphire dial that exposes the heart of this iconic steel sports watch, this men's Baume & Mercier Riviera watch fuses precision timekeeping with a classic style that nods to the 1970s. The year 1973 marked the birth of the first Riviera watch, a robust, bold and distinct sports watch that could instantly be identified for its twelve sided silhouette. Its dodecagonal shaped bezel is fine brushed and bolted down to the case with four hexagonal shaped screws. The 100 meter water resistant steel case of this men's 42mm Baume & Mercier Riviera watch is home to an in house developed self winding movement. The Baumatic BM13 1975A performs relentlessly whilst on show from the dial side of the watch and from the back of the case. It provides an impressive 120 hour power reserve and beats to the rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The Baume & Mercier Riviera watch also features luminous coated central hour and minute hands, a sweeping second hand and a date aperture at 3 o'clock. Traditional Roman numeral hour markers present the 12 and 6 o'clock locations of the hour track whilst the rest are represented by stick markers. To finish, the men's Riviera watch secures to the wrist with a stainless steel bracelet. The brushed and polished links envelop the wrist for an ergonomic fit thanks to a folding clasp and push piece security mechanism.
