Chesty coughs are caused by a build-up of phlegm and the cough mechanism kicks in to try and get rid of this excess phlegm to get it out of the body. This cough mixture contains Guaifenesin 50mg which will help thin and loosen the mucus. Warnings and Precautions Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Read the package leaflet before use. Do not use it if the expiration date printed on the carton and bottle has passed. Do not use if: Your child is aged 6 or under. Your child has had any allergies to the ingredients this medication contains Your child is taking any other cough and cold medicine Your child experiences Allergic reactions including (severe) skin rashes and itching or sickness and nausea, stop using the medicine and seek immediate help.
