Endpapers showing outward and homeward voyages of the Resolution and Discovery. 5 Appendices, References, Bibliography and Index. Captain King sailed with Cook on his last voyage as his Lieutenant and so returned to London as the ship's captain. He wrote the last volume of the story of Cook's last voyage, but his career has largely been overlooked. Steve Bagnall in this work is determined to redress the balance, perhaps because he comes from Clitheroe where King's father was Rector. This copy inscribed by the author PS14.99
