A charming, medium sized pendant suitable for all age groups & ocassions. The focal point is a circular blue abalone shell cabochon overlayed with a silver plated butterfly detail. The colour of blue abalone is achieved by over dyeing natural abalone with a vibrant pigment. It is a beautiful material with its naturally attractive, marble patterns & colours. The pendant in the photograph contains vibrant shades of blue & turquoise with hints of black. Colours & patterns can vary dramatically. The one in the photograph is the one you will receive. DIMENSIONS The overall height of the pendant is 3.2cm (1 & 1/4 inch) & 2.5cm (1 inch) in width. The abalone cabochon is circular, flat & highly reflective, with a diameter of 2.5cm (1 inch). It is securely fixed to a silver plated flat pad. The butterfly is made from shiny, silver plated brass & stands approximately 2mm away from the surface of the cabochon. The chain is a superior silver plated, diamond cut curb chain. It threads through the bail which is directly behind the tip of the top butterfly wing. The chain is 18 inch (45cm) in length & fastens with a traditional bolt ring clasp. The width of the chain is approximately 1.5mm (1/16 inch) wide.
