Say hello to our boxing hares! Now on display in our showroom! That's right! We have a brand-new addition to our Garden Furniture Centre family, our Boxing Hares! Crafted by sculptor Paul Richardson, these hares emulate more than a satirical stance. With the history of the hare and what it represents, this is what inspired Paul to create such a unique and expressive piece of art to replicate the political tensions between the western and eastern world. This political connotation is highlighted through the subtle wording used on the boxing belts where the word 'hare' is spelt in English on one, and Russian on the other. Designed using galvanised steel, this sculpture comes complete with comical boxing gloves and expressions as well as boxing shorts and shoes! Scouted from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, this sculpture caught the eye of many famous faces including Dave Meyers, Ben Fogle, Linford Christie and future professional boxer Jordan Thompson! check out our blog post about the boxing hares and the inspiration behind the design!
