1.2mm diameter Creates shapes and holes in metal 2.38mm shank width Made from steel This Busch Burr should be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill or micromotor to cut or grind away, shape or give pattern to a surface (usually metal). You can also drill shapes/holes by hand into wax before casting to create same effect. Each burr construction is of a number of teeth/blades and (in a given shape) mounted onto a shank (usually 3/32). The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned removes the surface being worked upon. The quantity of material removed depends on pressure applied. Use of `Burr Life lubricant`(998 021) helps prolong the burrs cutting ability.
