Bold and imposing. Beautifully crafted from ebony. 4 inch (101.6 mm) king. 2 additional queens. Weighted for perfect balance. Bases covered with padded leather. Certificate of authenticity. Perfect for a 21 inch (55 cm) board. Crafted from solid ebony and boxwood, the Byzantine Series chessmen are bold and imposing in their design. They feature embellished curves yet simple lines and have substantially proportioned convex bases. Despite this, they are relatively slender for their height. This allows them to work perfectly with slightly smaller boards from 21 inches in size upwards. They are triple weighted and feature real leather padded bases, making them just as pleasurable to play with as they are to look at.
