A Chilean diplomat and writer who travelled widely in India studying yoga, the author had a close friendship with Jung and Hesse at the end of their lives. This book presents the outcome of his meetings and correspondence with them. It includes documents that explains Jung's ideas about the nature of the world and of his work. Miguel Joaquin Diego del Carmen Serrano Fernandez, known as Miguel Serrano (1917- 2009), was a Chilean diplomat, writer, occultist, and fascist activist. A Nazi sympathiser in the late 1930s and early 1940s, he later became a prominent figure in the neo-Nazi movement as an exponent of Esoteric Hitlerism. Our book is in good condition, and retains its unclipped dust jacket, which is badly torn across the front, very grubby, and tanned, but has protected the book within effectively. The book, bound in dark blue cloth with gilt title etc on the spine, shows almost no signs of external wear or age, apart from some small pale spots at the top of the front cover. Inside, the binding is firm with no loose pages; all pages clean and bright; colour and monochrome illustrations all present - many by Herman Hesse himself; portraits of both correspondents included.
