Foreign Language text. By Oscar Zanetti and Alejandro Garcia. Published by Editorial de Ciencias Sociales, La Habana in 1987. Historia de Cuba. First edition. Cuba was among the first countries in the world to use rail transport, the book traces the story of railroads in Cuba from their introduction in the nineteenth century through the 1959 Revolution, and connects their development to the sugar industry. (Information taken from descriptions of the English translation.) Text block is in good used condition with only minor spotting to edges of block and mild browning to pages. Boards and spine are marked, possibly due to having been damp. Dust jacket is intact but in poor condition with foxing and marks from shelfwear to front and back, creases, scuffs, tears to edges and marks. See photographs.
