The sub-title is 'precedido de apuntes sobre los amulatos contra el ojo, las imagenes del apostol-romero y la cofradia de los azabacheros de Santiago'. Azabache is the Spanish name for the gemstone 'jet' as in 'jet black'. Azabache is considered the talisman of the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrim's protector, a stone with magical powers and a symbol of the Camino pilgrimage (thanks to 'Unstoppable Stacey'). This is the facsimile edition of the original of 1916. There is slight rubbing to the board edges and spine ends, and some slight surface marks, but the silver titling and decoration remains bright. There is some slight staining to the inner rear cover and last end-paper. Contents clean and unmarked.
