Charles and Mary Lamb. ''In Hearty, Homely, Loving Hertfordshire.'' by William Graveson Nine years ago the writer gathered notes on the Hertfordshire associations of Charles and Mary Lamb which were published in a booklet. The remainder of this edition is now re-issued during recent present centenary year with supplementary notes and illustrations. Hertfordshire readers will be particularly grateful for the essay based on a chapter in his masterly biography of Charles Lamb, in which he recalled so delightfully the memories of a Hertfordshire lady who remembered Lamb when she was a schoolgirl at Widford. The writer drew on these memories, as will be observed on pages 8 to 11. The new particulars about the school at Goddard House in Mr. E. V. Lucas's Lemon Verbena, especially the prospectus (reproduced on page 19 by his permission), will be of interest to teachers and scholars. Boo in Good condition for age see photos.
