This delightful collection consists of Dickens' letters to his sub editor William Henry Wills who worked closely with him on the journals Bentley's Miscellany, Household Words, and All the Year Round. The earliest letter is from 1837 and the last 1870 allowing observation of Dickens' attention to detail, his irascibility and his developing relationship with "Wills" Included are portraits of Charles Dickens, William Henry Wills, Willkie Collins and William Makepeace Thackeray. This is a hardback book published in 1912. It is in fair, used condition. The boards are worn with bumping to the corners and to the spine. The title is embossed in gold on the front. The is some damage to the spine internally, but the pages are all intact. Most of the pages have some foxing to them, but are still readable
