Rare book about the great bluesman Charley Patton, by the guitarist John Fahey. Book in fair condition, with some damage to the front cover & the foot of the spine. Internally in good condition, with no obvious annotation. This work was published simultaneously in a hardcover binding, this is the softcover version. First edition of John Fahey's study on blues singer and guitarist Charley Patton. The work is based on Fahey's master thesis in musicology at the University of California, and contains transcriptions and analysis of Patton's music along with notes on tuning and modality.
