The photographer Simon Schwyzer has documented the creation of the public architecture park "Chateau La Coste" in Provence for several years. The photographs, which were taken exclusively with analog film, are brought together in the book of the same name: the first part, entitled "there is no single route", takes you on a walk through the southern French landscape, into which buildings by Frank Gehry, Jean Nouvel or Tado Ando are integrated. The photographs reflect a subjective, intuitive view of the juxtaposition and coexistence of nature and architecture, capturing a kind of memory that lingers of the buildings and their surroundings after seeing them. The second part of the book - "selected path" - is the result of the pictorial cataloguing of the individual buildings. Separate booklets inside the front cover detail plans for future projects (by architects Tadao Ando, Richard Rogers, Renzo Niemeyer, Jean Nouvel) and portraits of the local people who liven up the property. Also included is an interview with the initiator Patrick McKillen by Frederic Edelmann. Text is in French and English.
