Back in the day, they were just your average Bourbon success story, until Prohibition hit. But did they give in? Nope! They packed up, moved to Canada, and started bootlegging their spirits in tin cans. Talk about thinking outside the speakeasy! Tragedy hit in the '50s when their distillery went up in flames and the Chicken Cock story ended. At least until Matti Anttila stepped in and started peddling something far beyond your ordinary Hooch, eventually teaming up with the Bardstown Bourbon Co. to keep up with our thirst. Without a doubt, Chicken Cock Whiskey Red Stave is the lovechild of two American icons - Kentucky Bourbon and California Wine. This Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is finished in carefully chosen J. Wilkes Petite Sirah barrels creating a cross-country road trip for your taste buds! With over 150 years of winemaking know-how courtesy of the Miller Family Wine Company and Chicken Cock's own storied past, each sip is a history lesson wrapped in an explosion of flavor.
