They are a reprint - published between 1970 and 1971. There are no internal markings or annotations present within these volumes. The text pages of these books are in very good condition. There is some very light foxing that seems confined to either end of some books. The pastedowns and endpapers appear the main pages affected. This foxing is not present in every volume. For the most part, the text pages are perfectly clean. The paper is bright and free from blemishes, the images are clear and the font is well-defined. The text is legible at all points. These are truly well-preserved pages. The edges of the text blocks are in very good condition. A small number of volumes have some light foxing but this does not travel inwards. We shall photograph the worst affected page tops. The pages continue to sit together well - free from creasing, crumpling and tearing. Externally, these books have red hard boards with gilt lettering and decoration both at the centre of their covers and running the length of the spine. In every case, this gilding remains vibrant. The spines of these books appear undamaged. The heads and tails are not bumped and at no point, even at the corners, are the boards exposed. The hinges of these books are intact, the bindings feel tight and there are no loose or missing pages. This is a set of books in very good condition indeed. (PLEASE NOTE: Due to both the value and weight of these items, they will be dispatched by courier.)
