The Rubicon Press 1991. First edition hardback with unclipped d/j in good overall condition - some light marking to jacket and a tear at top of spine (see photo). Boards and pages are fine. 203 pages. This book is the first investigation into transfer printing in Staffordshire in 1783 when it was possible to produce competitively priced multi-coloured wares in the Chinese style. Illustrated with 265 black and white plates and 8 color plates.
