The Royal Scotch. The Chivas Regal is one the most popular Scotch Whisky brands in the world. It traces its roots back to 1801 when they opened a grocery store in Aberdeen - back when they were known as Chivas Brothers. The company started blending Whisky in 1850, as a respond to their affluent clientele's demand for a smoother Whisky. In the early 1900s, Chivas Regal started exporting its most aged blends to the US, where a demand for luxury goods was rapidly growing. Chivas Regal became a fashionable brand of the era in the United States and was associated with Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat pack. Frankie Boy would request those Spirits backstage before-and after-performances. Over 20 of Scotland's finest and rarest Scotches are blended to create this truly royal expression. Wait! Do we see a raised eyebrow? Fine... be a whisky purist, but know that true aficionados never scorn a good blend, because it creates a smoother & more complex drink, with each part bringing its own characteristics.
