Co-operation For All
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
The co-operative movement has had a long history of worker and consumer co-operatives in the UK, with the most famous being the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS), better known now as just the Co-op. Redfern was a writer and member of this group, and this volume is his short history of, and manifesto for, the co-operative movement. This is a valuable peek into the history of early twentieth century socialism and left-wing associations in Britain. The book itself is in great condition, there is some yellowing to the cover in particular, but is clean and clear and still tightly bound in a card cover.
