A super limited Rosa Reposado, offered for the first time to mere mortals from George Strait. Codigo 1530 Tequila has a very secretive past. There was a time when there was no way you could ever get your hands on this premium Tequila unless you were like, one of the fines jimadors of Los Bajos. It was called El Tequila Privado, which basically means the private Tequila and this is the first time that we, mere mortals have the chance to try it. It's brought by Federico "Fede" Vaughan, CEO & Co-Founder of Codigo 1530 as well as the honorary custodian of its private recipe, which has been passed down for generations. Codigo 1530 Tequilas are made with the time-honored customs and traditions from the Los Bajos region and the town of Amatitan, the birthplace of Tequila. Codigo 1530 is named after "Los Codigos," the pre-colonial old world codes and customs that shaped the town of Amatitan and the Los Bajos region. The Codigo 1530 range includes a Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, an Extra Anejo Tequila, and a Rosa; they were the first to produce a naturally pink-colored Tequila. A twist on their pink creation, Codigo 1530 Rosa Reposado George Strait Edition is the first double barrel-aged Rosa-Reposado addition to the collection. George Strait is a country music star and one of the select few that has been drinking this Tequila for years, even writing songs about it. Now he's kindly offering it to you. Starting as a Blanco, this incredible Tequila aged in the finest French oak Cabernet barrels and then finished in Sherry casks for more character and a soft, sweet finish. Super limited.
