Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
The central texts of this selection are Joseph Conrad's "Congo Diary" and "Up-River Book," written during his eight-month journey in the Congo Free State in 1890, which would later inform his famous novella "Heart of Darkness". Interspersed with these texts are Conrad's letters to family, friends, and colleagues which illuminate his journey, and his short story "An Outpost of Progress" which directly draws upon his experiences. This deluxe folio edition is hardbound in green cloth and presented in a black cardboard slipcase and is in excellent condition.
