The 146th edition of the definitive guide to Britain's titled families.Debrett has been a household name for just under 200 years. John Debrett first put his name to his Correct Peerage of England, Scotland and Ireland in 1802, although the history of this unique reference book can be traced back to Dugdale's Baronage, the first ever peerage , published in 1675. An annual publication up to the 1970's, Debrett's now appears every five years. It gives a definitive genealogical guide to Britain's titled families, and with the 2000 edition a complete picture of the aristocracy at the very end of the 20th century. Since the publication of the last edition in 1995, the deaths of 109 hereditary peers have been recorded (with 13 titles becoming dormant or extinct), and 78 Life Peers. The biographies of 210 new Life Peers have been added. -- pages corners a bit tanned due to the age
