From the title page: "Decisions of the Court of Session 1781-1822, In the form of a Dictionary Collected by David Hume, Late one of the Barons of Exchequer in Scotland, and Formerly Professor of the Law of Scotland in the University of Edinburgh." The book appears to have been half-bound with leather, but the spine and corners have been removed or worn away. The spine has been re-covered with brown textured material, with no spine titles; the front lower corner is covered with tape. There is a paper break down the final page, and short breaks to the front end paper, but the block is held very firmly. Text block edges dust darkened; upper edge has soiling marks including small white spots. Foxing marks to early front leaves including title page, plus to rear end paper. Light tanning around page margins. Former owner's small bookplate attached to front end paper; a second name is written in blue ink to front free end paper. Weight approx. 2.86 kg.
