Created in a controlled environment using innovative technological processes, Lab Grown Diamonds feature chemical, physical and optical properties identical to that of earth-mined diamonds with extreme pressure and heat replicating the natural formation. Created from pure crystallized carbon, Lab Grown Diamonds can be grown in two ways, using a High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) environment or by Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). Cooksongold stocks a mixture of both HPHT and CVD Diamonds. The quality of a diamond is assessed according to four factors, known as `The 4 C`s` - Colour, Clarity, Carat Weight and Cut. The colour of this particular diamond is D and the clarity is VS. The weight of this stone is approximately 0.0175 Carats or 1.75 points (100 points = 1 carat). This diamond measures 1.6mm and is in a classic round brilliant cut. Please note, these measurements are an approximation as every Lab Grown Diamond has unique attributes and a slight tolerance of +/-0.05mm should be expected with these stones. Diamond has a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.50 to 3.53. Cooksongold Lab grown diamonds are graded by either IGI and GIA, which are both accredited, reputable gemmological laboratories. Please note, only stones 6.5mm (1ct) in size and larger will be supplied with a diamond report certificate and is also laser engraved with it`s report number. Stones certified by IGI will be provided with a physical report certificate. GIA certified stones will be issued with a digital report certificate. To view your digital report, simply download the GIA app and scan the QR code label supplied with the stone. You can also go to GIA.edu to check your report.
