The three books bound together in one volume. The spine states that they form volume 6 but does not say what set vol. 6 is part of. All printed in double columns with black and white illustrations. Oliver Twist has 28 illustrations by J. Mahoney. A Tale of Two Cities has 25 illustrations by F. Barnard. The Old Curiosity Shop has 39 illustrations by C Green. The book is bound in purple covered boards with half leather binding. Spine has raised bands and gilt decoration. Textblock edges are all gilt. Binding has damp stain on front and white marks on front and back. Covers are edgeworn and corner bumped with some scuffing. Front hinge is cracked but book is firmly bound. Book has been damp and all pages have some rippling but only the back pastedown, back free endpaper and last page of print are marked by damp. Pages at 105,176 and 204 are creased and discoloured. Text is otherwise clean and bright. Pages are a little yellowed and textblock edges have some discolouring commensurate with age.
