As its name explains, Domaine des Deux Vallees is nestled between the Loire Valley and the Layon Valley. Here the schist soils of its hillside vineyards are ideally suited to producing one of the region's key grapes: Chenin Blanc. The family estate has made certain that their wines reflect the terroir as much as possible, producing wines with a real sense of place - and they've got the awards to prove it too. It doesn't get much more classic than this. The wine is aged for 12 months before its release, developing texture and complex flavours. It's full of textbook Loire character - fresh acidity, crisp mineral flavours and smoky hints. Pair its notes of lime sherbet with seafood or alpine cheese.
