First of all, of course, the round shape of the lamp catches the eye. This is complemented by a material used that is not found too often in luminaires: Felt. Wool felt is mostly used for clothing and fashion accessories. The fabric is known for its durability. It is also very popular because it repels dust despite its rough surface. The reason for this: Felt is self-lubricating and thus gives dust and other dirt no chance. Of course, last but not least, the emitted light also makes Lara felt so soothing and cozy. The secret of the lamp is its diffuser made of frosted Plexiglas. This is responsible for the fact that the light is distributed evenly and does not dazzle. When inserting the diffuser, the manufacturer Domus had an ingenious idea. The glass pane does not close with the socket, but was shifted inward. In this way, the inside of the lamp can be seen. This is also a good thing, because in the case of Lara felt, a rich curry tone becomes visible. This contrasts exceptionally with the gray outer garment of the luminaire. By the way: Lara felt can by no means be used only as a ceiling light. It also looks extremely good on walls and can be used quite specifically to breathe new life into rooms. The felt makes the lamp look particularly warm and cozy. It goes just as well with modern furniture as it does with retro-look furnishings.
