Doors: a tri-annual (ie 3 times a year) magazine: 'To bring Dorset poets & readers in touch with the poetry scene outside the county-and vice versa'. 5 issues: Numbers 16, 17, 19, 20, 23. No. 16 is January 1984, no. 23 is May 1986 - states publication was then in its seventh year. Each is 36pp. Series issued with Arts Council support by A Word And Action (Dorset) Publications, of Wimbourne. All have ISSNs. Each edited by a different Dorset editor who had freedom of choice apart from a requirement to select 50% of content to be of Dorset writers. Are individually priced and were also available on subscription. All: card covers, folded and stapled. Pages generally clean, (some top outer edges of pages spotted/darkened), covers a little aged, & some a touch spotted, faded or a little rubbed (handling marks), but nothing too bad. Staples tight and clean; no spine tears, no loose pages. Poems printed in 'typewriter' font. B/w photos, drawings, cartoons. Town/city of origin given for each writer. Sorry - too many writers to list here. Each volume has one or two ink asterisks against one or two poems in its Contents list, nearly all poems by the same writer, and some pencil figures in brackets, usually either a (2) or (3) against a few others, or a dot; occasional pencil lines in texts. Booklet: ''A Bit More Zunshine...". Book 2, "Zunshine" series. 80pp. Author, Irene Thomas; self-published, Hedon, near Hull(!), 1982. Orange card cover mild creasing. Orange has, as usual, faded along spine & part of top & front edges. Stapled binding, staples clean, pages clean. Cartoon-ish illustrations, probably by author but using three initials (L.I.T.) and that is the same for the introduction. Poems on the Blackmore Vale district of Dorset, some in dialect.
