Doulton Ultracarb(r) 10 Short Mount Ceramic Water Filter Candle Doulton Ultracarb Candle 10 inch Short Mount will fit HIP, HIS and DUO housings Also known as the W9123053. The Sterasyl(r) ceramic is fitted with an activated carbon block insert which contains lead removal media to produce the Ultracarb(r). Among other things, activated carbon is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water. Ultracarb(r) is designed to be used in pressure filters (on a mains water supply), not in gravity filters.Benefits: Ultracarb(r) has all the benefits of Sterasyl (removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc.) with additional chlorine, dissolved organics and lead removal capabilities. Please note; Doulton have discontinued production of their Supercarb Short Mount filters and are therefore in very limited supply however it is advised to purchase the Ultracarb(r) version as these are of a higher specification than the Supercarb.If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
