Genesis of the Daleks & Slipback - starring Tom Baker & Colin Baker Genesis of the Daleks "The fourth Doctor is sent on a mission to Skaro, where the crippled scientist Davros is engaged in the creation of protective casings for the ravaged Kaled race. Only the Doctor knows what evil will be unleashed on the Universe unless he can halt Davros' work, but for once even he seems bound to fail!" Tom Baker provides narration for this specially-edited version of Genesis Of The Daleks, which was first released on LP in 1980. It also stars Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah-Jane Smith, Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan and Michael Wisher as Davros. Slipback "Following a spot of uncharacteristic intoxication, the sixth Doctor wakes to discover that the TARDIS has materialised in the service ducting of the Vipod Mor, a huge craft which is itself floating in deep space. Furthermore, the console has detected Time spillage--someone or something is tampering with Time! Such experimentation could not only damage the Space/Time continuum, but destroy the past and future history of the Universe. The Doctor and Peri board the craft to investigate..." Slipback, by Eric Saward, was the first original Doctor Who serial to be produced for radio. It was first broadcast by BBC Radio in the summer of 1985 when the television series was on hiatus for a year. Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant reprised their TV roles for the production, which also included Valentine Dyall. It, along with the earlier Doctor Who and the Pescatons, is considered a forerunner of the later Big Finish Productions audio dramas. It was followed nearly a decade later by two more radio dramas starring Jon Pertwee and in 2007 by a new made-for-radio series for BBC7 (produced by Big Finish) starring Paul McGann. The Missing Stories: The Power of the Daleks - starring Patrick Troughton & presented by Tom Baker The TARDIS materilises on the Planet Vulcan with the newly regenerated Docter in a dazed state. Ben and Polly unsure about the Doctors new regeneration reguard the Doctor wearily. They find mystery intrigue and danger in a colony that has settled on Vulcan, but more intrestingly a spaceship which has been buried for 200 years deep under the planet surface.
