Moses XU, the artist behind the DUNU Luna has been in charge of the design department for the Zen. When you notice the precise detailing on the earpieces, you will notice that it is the work of a professional. Patented ACIS Technology The DUNU Zen features DUNU’s self-patented ACIS (Air Control Impedance System). For this, the faceplate on ZEN earpieces has a small vent on the faceplate that manages the air pressure inside the cavity. This ACIS technology was first implemented in the DK4001. It helps reinforce and present a controlled lower end with the pair. High-Purity Cable with Replaceable Termination Plugs DUNU is one of the leading manufacturers of high-end audiophile IEM upgrade cables. The DUNU Zen flagship in-ear monitors come bundled with an 8 Core premium silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable with DUNU’s patented replaceable termination plug technology. The package includes 3.5mm single-ended as well as 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced termination plugs. A High Displacement, Composite Driver Design ZEN's nanoporous amorphous carbon diaphragm coating (nanoDLC) contains the highest ratio of sp3-to-sp2 hybridized carbon currently achievable, and is deposited via a high temperature, filtered, pulsed cathode arc deposition technique compatible only with metal substrates (polymer substrates will melt and deform). The process allows for fewer gaps and surface imperfections, bringing the layer ever closer to pure diamond.
