The B Curve Single Pole 6kA MCB by ESR is available in many amp ratings ranging from 6 Amp through to 63 Amp. This range includes the B6B1-6, B6B1-10, B6B1-16, B6B1-20, B6B1-25, B6B1-32, B6B1-40, B6B1-50 and B6B1-63 models. These MCBs are designed to protect the user and their property from overloads and short circuits by breaking the current as is passes through your consumer unit in the event of suggested dangerous earth leakage. MCBs are known to save lives and are a commonly used component in domestic consumer unit configurations. These MCB modules will use 1 module/way on your consumer unit rail bar, and are ideal for use with lighting/heating circuits in B curve (uses where switching surges are low or non-existent), All models in this list will trip at 30mA. B curve RCBOs will trip at 3-5 times the rated current, while C curve RCBOs will trip at 5-10 times the rated current. Therefore we advise consulting your electrician if you are unsure which curve or current is right for your desired application, as the wrong type may cause unnecessary tripping or create a potential hazard.
