Edward Ardizzone was a well-loved artist who illustrated and wrote more than 200 books and pamphlets. This book by Brian Alderson is a list of all his work including books, dust jackets, periodical contributions, war art, prints, posters and bookplates. Appendices include an essay On the Illustration of Books by Ardizzone himself. Ardizzone won the inaugural Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association for his children's book illustration. Brian Alderson is one of the pioneers of children's literature studies in Britain and a distinguished author, reviewer, translator and collector. The book is in Fine condition with no defects.
