Very good condition with only some minor marks and bumps to the top and bottom edges; the dust jacket has a half-inch tear at the front top left and a couple of other minor marks and signs of wear. The pages themselves are in excellent condition. This is the German-language catalogue of an exhibition at the Kunsthaus in Zurich in winter 2014-15 that brought together work by the daring groundbreaking Austrian painter and draughtsman Egon Schiele (1890-1918) and the contemporary British painter Jenny Saville. It highlights a stylistic comparison between Schiele's unvarnished nudes and the no less striking physicality in Saville's depictions of the human face and body. There are 163 illustrations, many in colour. Eight essays by Oliver Wick and others look at aspects of both artists' work, including Schiele's early nude self-portraits, his landscapes and cityscapes, and his work in relation to that of Ferdinand Hodler and Gustav Klimt.
