The Elvis & Kresse Large Wash Bag has been made from authentic decommissioned fire hoses that has been lined with left over military parachute silk. The re-appropriated fire hose material has been deployed in active duty fighting fires around the UK for up to 25 years in some cases. This material is very robust and durable which is very difficult to damage and has been repurposed to help protect your essential toiletries. Thanks to the nature of it's previous purpose the fire hose material is completely water resistant, and it's great at protecting your contents from the outside or the outside from leaking shampoo bottles and tubes of exploding creams. The material is very easy to clean that can be wiped away effortlessly and has been voted one of the best wash bags by The Independent. Elvis & Kresse fell in love with London's decommissioned fire-hose back in 2005 through a chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. They took this lifesaving material home determined to breathe new life into it and save it from its otherwise inevitable end in landfill, and vowed to donate 50% of our profits to charity. For over a decade they have been rescuing all of London's retired fire-hose by lovingly handcrafting them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Every year since, Elvis & Kresse have donated 50% of the profits from the Fire-hose Collection to The Fire Fighters Charity.
