Epoxy enamelling resin (also known as cold enamel) offers a wide range of colours and effects without the need for a kiln. Epoxy resin is supplied in two parts, resin and hardener, which are mixed together to form a mixture which will cure into a hard, shiny surface. As well as metals, including silver and copper, epoxy resin can also be used on materials such as wood, cardboard, hardboard, glass, polythene sheet and some plastics (NOT suitable for use on PVC, soft plastics or rubber). This transparent colours kit includes the basic components needed to get started with transparent coloured resin. Included in the set are a 100g tin of clear Resin, a 110g tin of Hardener, and eight 15g bottles of transparent resin colours. These colours are already pre-mixed with clear base resin, and simply need mixing with Hardener, at a ratio of 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener by weight, to cure. For a paler colour, the transparent colours can be diluted further by adding clear base resin before mixing with hardener. Please note the colours will vary depending on the background colour of the item being treated. The eight colours supplied in this pack can also be inter-mixed like paints to achieve secondary colours. Once the transparent resin is mixed wih hardener, the enamel will begin to set 45 minutes after mixing. The enamel takes 24 hours to completely cure. Colours include: Yellow, Brown, Red, Green, Blue, Black, Orange and Violet. This product is categorised as Hazardous Goods therefore it may be a diluted solution of pure chemical, a mixture of substances, manufactured products or articles which can pose a low element of risk to people, animals or the environment if not properly handled in use or in transport. Therefore narrowing down the choice of delivery methods.
