Cassius Clay, the young, lightning fast Louisiana Lip fought and won 20 times, with 16 KOs, before changing his name and becoming the legend that is Muhammad Ali. Watch five of his best fights IN FULL from the early 1960s, where as an 18 year old Olympic Gold Medallist he first showed his dancing feet, ferocious speed and breathtaking power. With his legendary coach, Angelo Dundee, working hard in his corner he served notice to the world that here was a man destined to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World. From fighting Ageless Archie Moore , a man with over 200 fights and 100 KO s to his name, to going toe to toe with Henry Cooper at Wembley Stadium in 1964, where Henry s Hammer felled Clay at the end of the 4th round and Harry Carpenter remarked that Clay still doesn t know where he is . Clay fought back and with blood pouring from Cooper s eye the fight was stopped in the 5th. There are also extended highlights of the build up and fight of their rematch in 1966, where again a cut put end to Cooper s brave onslaught.
