Faberge Heritage Rose Gold Emerald Diamond Transformable Necklace with Elephant Surprise 2764 This unique piece has been created exclusively for the international conservation charity, Space for Giants as part of their Walk for Giants campaign in partnership with Gemfields. The one-of-a-kind transformable necklace features an 18ct rose gold egg pendant, hand-painted in deep green guilloche enamel, which opens to reveal a miniature elephant cast in 18k yellow gold with two diamonds for eyes. The locket hangs from an 18ct rose gold chain comprised of 206 Gemfields Zambian emerald beads, interspersed with round and princess-cut diamonds. The locket is 22mm. The chain can be worn as a long necklace or transformed into three bracelets, and the protective shell of the pendant is a metaphor for the protection that elephants, and other endangered African wildlife, are currently in such dire need of. The collection features stunning Gemfields Zambian emeralds. Gemfields work with local communities, governments and conservation NGOs to ensure every gemstone sold supports health, education and livelihood initiatives, minimises effects on our environment and protects Africa's biodiversity. $50,000 from the sale of this pendant will be donated to Space for Giants. Space for Giants is an international conservation charity that protects Africa's elephants and their landscapes while demonstrating the ecological and economic value both can bring. It uses science and best practice to deliver conservation investment initiatives to attract new funding for under-resourced protected areas. It works with national authorities to strengthen legal action to fight wildlife crime and protect animals in the wild. It uses technology it pioneered itself to reduce human-elephant conflict, and works with a wide range of individuals, including academics, journalists, celebrities, philanthropists, and sports people, to bring new supporters to its cause. Beaded Sautoir: 18k rose gold, 206 Gemfields Zambian Emerald beads = 158.63, 66 princess cut white diamonds = 1.76cts (F VS+), 28 round white diamonds = 0.30cts (F VS+), 8 round white diamonds = 1.88cts (F VS+).
