Sustainable handmade wool felt trivets that bring a pop of colour to your sustainable home These stunning wool felt trivets are made by handstitching felt balls together. Use them as a placemat, trivet, for your teapot, a plantpot mat or for displaying your treasures. They are an object of loveliness in itself - a beautiful addition to your sustainable home! These eco-friendly mats bring a little texture, style and colour to your home. They can be teamed with coordinating coasters to perfect your planet-friendly home. These mats are sold individually, so you can choose to match or 'mix & match' to suit your colour preference. The mats are carefully hand-felted from 100% raw sheep wool with soap and water. The felt is hand rolled into balls, dried in the sun and then hand-stitched. Size: 21cm square approx Care: Wipe clean Made with great skill and to the highest quality by a fantastic team of fair trade craftspeople in Nepal. They use solar power in their factory and use purified run off rain water in their production process. They are coloured using Azo Free dyes, which means they are free of chemicals and toxins. Wool is a natural insulator, with high breathability, and it resists odours due to its natural antibacterial properties. Wool is one of the most sustainable fabrics in existence; renewable and biodegradable, it requires relatively little water for its production.
