But as emotions become entangled, free spirited and innocent folly soon leads to devastating tragedy.The restoration process of Far From the Madding Crowd was overseen by the films cinematographer and acclaimed director, Nicolas Roeg. The Digital Film restoration was funded by STUDIOCANAL in collaboration the BFIs Unlocking Film Heritage programme, Awarding funds from the National Lottery.
