Birthstone jewellery, in the form of an elegant & attractive bangle, set with Natural Amethyst gemstone cabochons. Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz, often used in jewellery making for its attractive colouring. It is a semi precious gemstone, traditionally recognised as the birthstone for February. DIMENSIONS The authentic Amethyst cabochons set within the bangle are round & each measure 0.5cm (3/16 inch) in diameter & are securely held in recessed settings. The stones are all polished, smooth & slightly domed. The focal point of the bangle measures 1.7cm (5/8 inch) x 1.7cm (5/8 inch). The metal component is shiny silver plated copper. Copper is a maleable metal, therefore size adjustment can be carried out. The bangle is open & will fit a wrist size ranging from 15cm (6 inch) to 20cm (8 inch). Adjustament is achieved by either, sqeezing the ends together to make smaller, or by stretching them outwards to make larger.
