Fishing The Wilder Shores: An Anthology Of His Writing On Lake Fishing
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
This first edition thus was published in 1991 by Witherby Ltd, London. It is in a good, used condition. The unpriceclipped dustjacket is a little creased and discoloured along the top edge and spine. The cloth boards are gilt-stamped on the spine. The textblock is clean and unmarked. The anthology has been edited and is introduced by Jeremy Lucas. Sidney Spencer was among the foremost lake fishers of his generation, especially well-known on the Irish loughs. In his books he aimed to capture the romance of lake fishing as well as providing detailed instructions on the techniques of fishing. This is a selection of his best writing from three of his previous books: 'Salmon And Sea Trout In Wild Places', 'Newly From The Sea' and 'The Art Of Lake Fishing'.
